The ‘Anaconda’ Reboot May Not Be The Plot You Had In Mind, But It Works [MOVIE TRAILER]

This is what happens when you try to remake classic films. You mess around and find out you should have left things alone.

When I heard “Anaconda” was going to get a reboot I’m thinking more people on a boat in swampy water looking for huge snakes, but the 2025 version is putting an interesting spin on. Directed by Tom Gormican​ and written by Tom Gormican & Kevin Etten, “Anaconda” stars Jack Black and Paul Rudd as best friends since childhood Doug and Griff who always dreamed of remaking their all-time favorite movie: the cinematic “classic” “Anaconda.” After securing the funds and assembling a crew, the pair along with a team set out into the Amazon to start filming, but things hit a snag when the snake they procured is accidentally killed and now they must find a replacement anaconda in the jungle. The original fun set turns deadly as they become hunted prey and now find themselves for real set in the movie they were trying to recreate.
