‘Materialists’ Review | Does Love Really Not Cost A Thing?

Celine Song returns for her second feature film as both writer and director with “Materialists,” starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal. The film follows Dakota Johnson as Lucy, a matchmaker in New York City who stumbles upon the perfect guy (Pascal) while attending a wedding as well as running into her ex (Evans) who is working as a cater waiter at the celebration. Is a check list of criteria more important in seeking a partner or like JLO said, love doesn’t cost a thing?
