Prepare To Be Changed After Watching the ‘Wicked: For Good’ Official Trailer

This November hold space for the epic conclusion of “Wicked” when the second half comes to theaters.

Fans of the Tony winning Broadway show turned Academy Award winning film made “Wicked” the most successful Broadway film adaptation of all time last year along with creating a stream of unforgettable memes and other pop culture moments. This Fall we’ll get to have that magic one last time in “Wicked: For Good,” the second part of “Wicked.”

The emotional conclusion is once again directed by Jon M. Chu and stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande back as Elphaba and Glinda. In “Wicked: For Good” Elphaba is deemed The Wicked Witch of the West living in exile while trying to fight for the freedom of silenced Animals in Oz and reveal the truth about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum). Meanwhile, Glinda is living her best life getting the popularity and praise she craves while being a pawn for Oz under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh). But you can’t keep a good witch down and Elphaba rises above the many obstacles and gets back to one of the people who meant the most to her…Glinda.

Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, and Marissa Bode are also back as Prince Fiyero, Boq, and Nessarose and play key components in the second half of “Wicked.” (IYKYK). I never saw the Wicked play, but I did read about the second act and listened to the original soundtrack so I have an idea of what’s to come and I’m excited. This is an adaptation so thing could always change from the original play, but fans of the Broadway show have been pleased with the direction of the film thus far so I think the follow through will be on point. The trailer looks great and I’m so ready to get back to Oz.
