There’s some phones you hope will never ring and in the sequel to the 2022 Blumhouse’s 2022 horror phenomenon “The Black Phone” dead is just a word.
In “Black Phone 2,” Finney (Mason Thames), now 17, is struggling with life after his captivity when his sister Gwen (Madeleine McGraw) begins to have dreams where she receives calls from the black phone while seeing disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp known as Alpine Lake. The Grabber (Ethan Hawke) is back causing more trauma in the Scott Derrickson directed and C. Robert Cargill & Scott Derrickson written film. Jeremy Davies and Miguel Mora are also back for the sequel.
I remember being freaked out watching “The Black Phone” back in 2022 and while I wasn’t too hype to get a sequel I think I’ll still add this to my Spooky Season watch list for the fall.
A perfect fit for Spooky Season, “Black Phone 2” comes to theaters October 17, 2025. Watch the “Black Phone 2” official trailer in the clip below.
