The ‘Weapons’ Official Trailer Digs Deeper Into The Mysterious Disappearance of Children

I’m trying not to get my hopes up too high for “Weapons,” but between this official trailer and the teaser I think this movie could be my favorite horror film of 2025.

The Zach Cregger (“Barbarian”) written and directed film is slated to be an “interrelated, multistory horror epic” about the disappearance of students in a small town with Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan appearing in the cast.

If the teaser was creepy, then the trailer is down right eerie. A child doing a voice over explains the circumstances leading up to Mrs. Gandy (Garner) walking into her classroom one morning to find every child missing because the night before at 2:17 in the morning, every kid woke up, got out of bed, went into the dark and never came back.
