The daughter of darkness aka Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is back for the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday from visionary Tim Burton, but unlike the first, season two will be released in two parts about a month apart.
As Wednesday returns to Nevermore Academy she is joined by her little brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) and her parents Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán) also have an increased presence on campus this semester. Series creator Alfred Gough tells Tudum, “Season 1 really focused on Wednesday, but you met the other characters but didn’t get to know them, and now we get to expand their storylines and expand the scope and breadth of the show.” Those expansion include returning cast members Emma Myers as Wednesday’s roommate Enid. Joy Sunday as Wednesday’s frenemy Bianca, Hunter Doohan as barista/murderous Hyde Tyler, Victor Dorobantu as Thing and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.
Joanna Lumley joins Wednesday as Hester Frump, Morticia’s mother and Wednesday’s closest ally along with Steve Buscemi as the new Principal of Nevermore Barry Dort.
Part 1 of Wednesday comes to Netflix woefully so on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 and part 2 comes Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Watch the Wednesday season 2 official teaser trailer in the clip below.
