Striving For Greatness is Terrifying in Upcoming ‘HIM’ Movie From Jordan Peele

To be great takes a certain level of talent, dedication and opportunity, but in the terrifying world of Jordan Peele it’ll also include a bit of horror in the upcoming film “HIM” starring Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers.

In “HIM” former college wide-receiver Cameron Cade (Tyriq Withers) is a rising-star quarterback who has devoted his life, and identity, to football. On the eve of professional football’s annual scouting Combine, Cameron is attacked by an unhinged fan and suffers a potentially career-ending brain trauma. Cameron’s career seems to be over just as it’s getting started, but he receives an unexpected Hail Mary when his hero Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), a legendary eight-time Championship quarterback and cultural megastar, offers to train him at his isolated compound that he shares with his celebrity influencer wife, Elsie White (Julia Fox). Isaiah’s charm wears off as something darker is revealed and Cameron spirals down a twisted rabbit hole. Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Maurice Greene, Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack are also featured cast.

Directed by Justin Tipping, produced by Jordan Peele, and a screenplay by Zack Akers & Skip Bronkie and Justin Tipping, “HIM” is slated to come to theaters September 19, 2025.
