Ariana Grande may be closing out the eternal sunshine era, but she’s going out with a bang. Last year around this time, Ari released eternal sunshine, her seventh studio and since that release she dropped a few remixes, live versions of the tracks along with performances, and three music videos to pair with the new album. And just when you thought she was done she announced earlier this month that an extended version of the album was on the way along with a short film.
On Friday, March 28, eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead added six more tracks to thirteen that fans have already come to know and love. “intro (end of the world) [extended],” “twilight zone,” “warm,” “dandelion,” “past life,” and “Hampstead” were the new songs that came out and immediately I loved “dandelion.” The rest will have to grow on me, but the film needed little time for me to fall in love. Directed by Christian Breslauer & Ariana Grande, the “brighter days ahead” short features tracks from eternal sunshine while telling a story that explores “love, loss, growth, and the fleeting nature of memory.” It’s so fun being an Ariana fan.
