A First Date Becomes A Nightmare in ‘Drop’ Trailer Starring Meghann Fahy [MOVIE]

A game of cat and mouse kicks off during a first date in the upcoming thriller “Drop” starring Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar. Directed by Christopher Landon and written by Jillian Jacobs & Chris Roach, “Drop” takes the simple concept of an air dropped message and turns it into something much more sinister.

In the newly released trailer for “Drop,” widowed mother Violet (Fahy) is gearing up for her first date in years. She leaves behind her son (Jacob Robinson) with a trusted babysitter aka her sister (Violett Beane) and heads to an upscale restaurant for a date with the charming and handsome Henry (Sklenar). Violet begins to get air drop messages from an unknown person who eventually prompts her to kill her date. With the unknown assailant watching her every move, Violet must tell no one and follow the instructions or deadly consequences will occur. Reed Diamond, Gabrielle Ryan, Jeffery Self, Ed Weeks, and Travis Nelson are all featured cast in “The Drop.”

I will say the trailer does give away much of the plot. It’s hard to imagine what is being left out, outside of the ending, but I’m intrigued enough to see where this story goes.

“Drops” comes to theaters on April 11, 2025.
