A New Twist on Love Comes in Upcoming Dark Comedy ‘Companion’ [MOVIE TRAILER]

They had me at “from the creators of “Barbarian.””

I wasn’t sure if there was going to be a solid film that would get me to theaters this January, but I may have to check out “Companion.” Written and directed by Drew Hancock, Sophie Thatcher and Jack Quaid star in “Companion.” A plot synopsis on IMDb reads, “a billionaire’s death sets off a chain of events for Iris and her friends during a weekend trip to his lakeside estate,” but the trailer views as something completely different. I’ve seen some thoughts on the film from those who have seen early screenings and they’ve enjoyed it, so if this movie is anything like “Barbarian” I’m sure I’ll enjoy it too.

Lukas Gage, Megan Suri, Harvey Guillén, and Rupert Friend also appear in the film. See “Companion” in theaters on January 31, 2025.
