Many women have trouble finding love, but in Peacock’s upcoming comedy series Laid love comes with deadly consequences.
Stephanie Hsu stars in Peacock’s Laid as Ruby, a woman who finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways. Ruby and her fried AJ (Zosia Mamet) then go on a murder mystery adventure sorting through Ruby’s sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward. The series is being labeled as a “fucked up rom-com,” but I’m still not sure if I get what’s happening with Ruby from the trailer. Does she has some sort of curse attached to her that kills whom ever she sleeps with? Like a “It Follows” situation? I guess I’ll have to tune it to find out.
Other featured cast in Laid include Finneas O’Connell, Tommy Martinez, Michael Angarano, Chloe Fineman, and Ryan Pinkston.
All eight episodes of Laid streams on Peacock on December 19.
