The Creepy ‘Woman of the Hour’ Official Teaser Shows The Reality of Dating for Females

To put it quite plainly, dating as a woman is terrifying. You don’t know if you’re going to end up with Prince Charming or Joe Goldberg. Either way it’s a gamble and the upcoming film from Netflix is putting that concept on display in “Woman of the Hour.”

In Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut, Kendrick also stars in the film as Cheryl Bradshaw, a single woman and aspiring actress looking for a suitor on a hit 1970s TV show – The Dating Game. When choosing the charming bachelor Rodney Alcala (Daniel Zovatto), Cheryl has no idea the man behind the gentle facade is a serial killer in the midst of a yearslong murder spree. Yikes!

Jedidiah Goodacre, Tony Hale, Kelley Jakle, Max Lloyd-Jones, Kathryn Gallagher, Matt Visser, Matthew Kevin Anderson, and Geoff Gustafson make up the ensemble cast.

“Woman of the Hour” streams on Netflix on October 18, 2024.
