The entertainment industry can be a predictable ladder for some but then there are the few cases where someone can enter the industry and excel when least expected. Actor Kurt Yue is an example of this. “I definitely didn’t…wasn’t one of those kids that dreamed about acting when I was a little kid. I enjoyed watching movies and watching tv, but, didn’t do any school plays or anything like that. I was always a math and science kid growing up,” Yue shared with Glambergirlblog. His childhood interests sparked his previous career before going into actor.
With a degree in computer science and engineering Kurt worked in the software world for almost a decade before realizing he needed a change a pace. Seeking an after work hobby, Kurt stumbled into an acting class with intentions of just having fun but it turned into something more. Now having worked in the industry for over a decade and up to 81 credits ranging roles in Will Trent, Cobra Kai, “Black Widow,” Insatiable, “Venom,” and The Haunting of Hill House, Kurt has build quite the resume and a successful YouTube channel, Acting Career Center, where he offers insight on building skills and knowledge of the entertainment industry.
Throughout a chat with GGB, Kurt shared which genre of acting he wants to try next, how you can build an acting career outside of Hollywood, the evolution of his YouTube channel, what’s the last project that inspired him creatively and more.
