The ‘Severance’ Season 2 Date Announcement Teases New Footage

This wait for the new season of Apple TV+’s Severance is almost unbearable but with every crumb us fans get for season 2 I get more excited and finally there is a premiere date.

On Wednesday, July 10 the streaming service released a :40 second clip revealing season 2 of Severance would be coming early 2025. Season 1 premiered in 2022 and follows a mysterious corporation that employs individuals who opted to have their memories surgically divided, severed, between their work and personal lives. “In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.”

In the date announcement clip a voice over from Mark S. (Adam Scott) and Helly (Britt Lower) is heard saying, “I give consent for the Lumon Corporation to sever my memories between my work life and my personal life. I am aware that this alteration is comprehensive and irreversible.” Gwendoline Christie, a guest star in the new season, is also seen at the end of the clip saying, “you should have left.”

Alongside Scott and Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette return in the ensemble cast with Sarah Bock as a new series regular. I have not been gagged by a series in a long time, so I can’t wait for this show to return.

Severance season 2 premieres on Apple TV+ January 17, 2025.
