Apple TV+’s anticipated crime drama Presumed Innocent starring Jake Gyllenhaal comes to the streaming service next month and the official trailer previews the twisted case that will unfold.
In the 8-episode limited series based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, Presumed Innocent comes from writer David E. Kelley and executive producer J.J. Abrams. Gyllenhaal plays chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich who is suspected of a horrific murder as the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys’ office gets turned upside down.
Presumed Innocent explores “obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love” as Rusty Sabich fights to hold his family and marriage together. Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle, Renate Reinsve, Chase Infiniti, Nana Mensah, and Kingston Rumi Southwick make up the ensemble cast.
The first two episodes of Presumed Innocent premiere on Wednesday, June 12 with new episodes dropping every Wednesday through July 24.
