Ayo Edebiri is easily one of America’s, and Ireland’s (IYKYK), darlings. This year she swept award show season bringing home an Emmy, Critic’s Choice, and Golden Globe for her role as Sydney Adamu on Hulu’s The Bear opposite Jeremy Allen White, who has been equally successful with awards in his role. Many know Ayo from her comedic roots which were perfectly on display in the 2023 beloved raunchy comedy “Bottoms,” so it should come as no surprise that she could make petty disputes hilarious.
As Vanity Fair’s June cover star, Ayo sat down with the outlet in a segment called “Vanity Fair and Square” where she listened to two sides of an argument and made a ruling on the dispute. Issues ranged from commenting on Instagram model pictures, stealing fries from room service trays, and splitting the bill when dining out. Whoever came up with this idea needs to stay on the Vanity Fair payroll for a while and also keep this segment going. Although I’m not sure if it’ll be as funny without Ayo.
Watch Ayo Edebiri pass judgment on petty disputes for Vanity Fair in the clip below.
