Prime Video Releases The August Moon “Guard Down” Music Video, Finally! And Moonheads Are Going Crazy!

And when we needed them the most they appeared! August Moon is the best boy band I’ve experienced in a while. The only problem is I’ll probably never get to see them perform live because they’re a boy band created from the mind of Robinne Lee and her best selling book turned film “The Idea of You,” which premiered May 2 on Prime Video and has been breaking records since. The film is the best performing rom-com on Prime Video ever and has racked in 50 M views worldwide to date and remains at the top of the most watched streaming original films with 714.2 M minutes watched according to Variety.

Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine star in “The Idea of You” as Solène Marchand, a 40-year-old mom who owns an art gallery in Silver Lake, and Hayes Campbell, 24-year-old lead singer of boy band August Moon with other members including Oliver (Raymond Cham Jr.), Adrain (Jaiden Anthony), Simon (Viktor White) and Rory (Dakota Adan) rounding out the group.The pair have a chance encounter at Coachella and fall in love. I’ve been obsessed with Hayes and Solène since I read the book and lost count how many times I’ve watched the movie. I’m down bad! Outside of the insane chemistry between Anne and Nick (I want them in everything together BTW), the boy band August Moon, whose sound was crafted by songwriter/producer extraordinaire Savan Kotecha for the film, has been blowing up bringing in millions of streams on Spotify and creating a fan base of Moonheads.

The soundtrack is truly amazing, and Galitzine, who lends his actual vocals on the tracks, needs to make more music ASAP. I’m personally still obsessing over “Taste,” but “Guard Down” is among my other favorites. Since the tease of the “Guard Down” music video in the film, Moonheads have been waiting for Prime Video to drop the full thing. Now we have it and I see why Solène booked the first thing smoking to New York to see Hayes after watching this video. I’m charmed.
