‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Is In Production + New Cast Additions Announced

The Emmy winning Netflix series Wednesday is officially in production for its second season with Jenna Ortega returning to the lead the series as Wednesday Addams and Tim Burton also back directing.

On Tuesday, May 7 a cast reveal dropped on Netflix’s YouTube channel sharing who would be back and joining the cast for the upcoming season slated for a 2025 premiere. Joy Sunday, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Emma Myers return as Bianca, Morticia, and Enid respectively. Joanna Lumley will guest star as Grandmama with Steve Buscemi joining the Wednesday cast as Barry Dort, along with Billie Piper as Capri and Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn. The cast reveal also showed the first epsidoe of season 2 would be called “Chapter One: “Here We Woe Again”” written by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar.

A photo was also shared on Twitter of production kicking off captioned, “Wednesday Season 2 is NOW IN PRODUCTION 🖤 Please give a round of double snaps to our cast — now including Christopher Lloyd, Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Billie Piper!”

Hunter Doohan (Tyler), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Detective Santiago), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley), Luis Guzman (Gomez), and Georgie Farmer (Ajax) will reprise their characters with Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor slated as series cast and James McShane, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen, and Christopher Lloyd guest starring.
