The official trailer for “The Watchers” teases more of what is going to happen in a creepy Ireland forest.
Written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, daughter of M. Night Shyamalan who is a producer on the film, “The Watchers” is based on A.M. Shine’s 2021 novel of the same name. The film follows Mina (Dakota Fanning), a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. Mina finds shelter and becomes trapped alongside three strangers (Georgina Campbell, Olwen Fouéré, and Alistair Brammer) who are being watched and stalked by unknown creatures at night. I read The Watchers so I’m curious to see how it’ll be adapted. Stay tuned for my book review of The Watchers coming next week.
The film got a slight bump so now “The Watchers” comes to theaters on June 14, 2024.
