“You can’t see them, but they see everything” and it’s damn eerie. The first look at Ishana Night Shyamalan’s “The Watchers” has been released and the teaser trailer gives just enough to get audiences intrigued.
Written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, daughter of M. Night Shyamalan who is a producer on the film, “The Watchers” is based on A.M. Shine’s 2021 novel of the same name. The film follows Mina (Dakota Fanning), a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. Once Mina finds shelter she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers (Georgina Campbell, Olwen Fouéré, and Alistair Brammer) who are being watched and stalked by an unknown creature at night. I’m all about knowing as much as I can about a subject that has my attention and this film does so I’m about to read the book to see exactly what’s about to go down.
“The Watchers” comes to theaters on June 7, 2024.
