Peace up, A-town down!

Sunday, February 11 was the Usher Bowl for those who don’t care about football. I’m not into sports at all so the only reason I tune into the Super Bowl is for the halftime show and the anticipated commercials. This year Usher absolutely delivered for his Apple Music Halftime performance.

Fresh off the release of his 10th studio album Coming Home and ahead of his upcoming Past Present Future tour kicking off this summer, Usher reminded viewers why he’s considered the King of R&B as he performed a medley of hits spanning his 30-year career.

Opening the performance on an Art Deco throne with his 1997 hit “My Way” fading in, Usher quickly disrobed and proceeded to perform “Caught Up from his 2004 Confessions album. The medley of hits kept coming as Usher revealed his special guests joining his set. Alicia Keys came out to perform “If I Ain’t Got You,” which featured Usher on a remix, and then their joint song “My Boo.” Jermaine Dupri later took the stage to continue hyping up the audience. H.E.R also took the stage to lend help with the guitar solo in “U Got It Bad” and “Bad Girl.” Will.i.am helped during the “O.M.G.” portion of the show and Lil Jon got the audience crunk with “Turn Down for What” before “Yeah,” the last song of the night with Ludacris joining the party.

The entire performance was a nonstop showstopper with acrobatics, pole dancers, a marching band, roller skaters, and more!
