Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest night of the season for football lovers and it’s a very special night if your team is up for the Lombardi trophy, but for those who don’t tune in for the game the Super Bowl ads are the true highlight. Each year brands and movie studios take the time to reveal new products or promote upcoming projects with first or new looks. This year some of the most anticipated films of 2024 were on display to get moviegoers hype for the latter half of the year.
In the first look at “Wicked,” Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande who play Elphaba and Glinda were featured in the trailer along with other key cast members like Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and Bowen Yang. Deadpool and Wolverine team up in the third installment of the “Deadpool” franchise officially titled “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson aka Deadpool and Hugh Jackman brings out the claws again as Wolverine. Morena Baccarin, Matthew Macfadyen, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Shioli Kutsuna, Karan Soni, and Stefan Kapicic are also set to appear in the film.
A bit of nostalgia comes in “Twisters,” believed to be a sequel to the 1996 film. Glen Powell leads the film alongside Anthony Ramos, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Kiernan Shipka, Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane, Daryl McCormack, David Corenswet, and Maura Tierney. Finally, a new look at “The Fall Guy” starring Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling was shown during Super Bowl LVIII.
Check out my favorite trailers released during Super Bowl LVIII. Which films are you excited to see in the latter half of the year? Share your thoughts in the comments.
