Sydney Sweeney is truly shaping up to be a new-age scream queen with a roster of horror films under her belt already with projects like “Night Teeth,” “Nocturne,” and “Along Came the Devil.” Now she can add a new one to her filmography with the upcoming Neon horror movie “Immaculate.”
Written by Andrew Lobel and directed by Michael Mohan, Sweeney stars as Cecilia in “Immaculate” who is an American nun of “devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside.” Cecilia’s warm welcome into the convent wears out quickly when she mysteriously becomes pregnant and she realizes her once safe haven is harboring dark and sinister secrets.
Simona Tabasco, Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giampiero Judica, and Giorgio Colangeli also appear in the film.
“Immaculate” comes to theaters on March 22, 2024.
