Seth MacFarlane’s Peacock Series ‘Ted’ Brings The Raunchy Teddy Bear Back To Life [REVIEW]

The “Ted” universe got extended in the new Peacock series from the creative mind behind Family Guy and American Dad!. Seth MacFarlane reprised his role as Ted, the lewd teddy bear that came to life from the 2012 and 2015 films “Ted” and “Ted 2,” in the prequel series that premiered Thursday, January 11 on the streaming service.

In Ted Max Burkholder plays 16-year-old John Bennett; Mark Wahlberg plays adult John in the “Ted” films. The show follows John living in Massachusetts with his parents and cousin played by Scott Grimes, Alanna Ubach, and Giorgia Whigham, respectively, and all the ups and downs that come with adolescence in only a way that MacFarlane can bring like watching porn for the first time, getting high, and trying to lose your virginity. Knowing the way Seth MacFarlane does comedy the material should come as no shock in the Ted series and fans have said it’s as close to a live-action Family Guy we’ll get. All 7 episodes of Ted are streaming now on Peacock.
