Come with him and you’ll see how the world of pure imagination began. A new trailer for the upcoming “Wonka” movie dropped where Timothée Chalamet plays a young Willy Wonka and Hugh Grant plays an Oompa-Loompa.
Directed by Paul King and written by King and Simon Farnaby, “Wonka” is based on the Willy Wonka character created by British author Roald Dahl and is said to be “an intoxicating mix of magic and music, mayhem and emotion, all told with fabulous heart and humor” as it depicts how the “world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker” came to be.
New character posters reveal who the ensemble cast will play in “Wonka.” Calah Lane is Noodle, Keegan-Michael Key is The Chief-of-Police, Paterson Joseph is Slugworth, Matt Lucas is Prodnose, Mathew Baynton is Fickelgruber, Sally Hawkins is Willy’s mother, Rowan Atkinson is Father Julius, Jim Carter is Abacus Crunch, Olivia Colman is Mrs. Scrubitt, Natasha Rothwell is Piper Benz, Rich Fulcher is Larry Chucklesworth, Rakhee Thakrar is Lottie Bell, and Tom Davis is Bleacher.
