One of Peacock’s low-key gems is returning for a second season and the way the first season ended I’m very happy to see this story continue. Created and written by Abe Forsythe, Wolf Like Me stars Josh Gad as Gary, a distraught struggling father raising his daughter alone after the death of his wife. He meets Mary, played by Isla Fisher, and his life changes in the best way. Unbeknownst to Gary, falling in love with Mary means falling in love with a werewolf.
Gary and Mary try to make their relationship work despite Mary’s vicious appetite and the second season brings new challenges for the couple now that Mary is pregnant. “As much as the two try to have a “normal” pregnancy, it seems impossible with so many questions looming over them. Will their child be a human or a wolf? Just how long can they keep things secret from the rest of their family? Will what happened in the outback come back to haunt them? And, with Mary’s former professor, Anton (Edgar Ramirez), suddenly in the picture, can their relationship withstand newly unearthed secrets from Mary’s past?,” reads the synopsis for the upcoming season.
Ariel Donoghue, Emma Lung, Anthony Taufa, Nash Edgerton, Jake Ryan, Paul Pantano, Alan Dukes, and Honour Latukefu appear in the series.
Wolf Like Me season 2 premieres Thursday, October 19 on Peacock. You stream the first season right now.
