Back in 2021, everyone couldn’t stop talking about Netflix’s international phenomenon series Squid Game. Written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, the 9-episode series, which got renewed for a second season, followed 456 players facing extreme financial hardships competing in children’s games for the opportunity to win $45.6 billion. The Korean drama earned 6 Primetime Emmys and is one of Netflix’s most successful shows to date.
Now the average Joe will have the chance to experience the series firsthand and earn big bucks. In Squid Game: The Challenge, 456 real people compete for 4.56 million dollars, the biggest payout in reality show history.
