‘Pet Sematary: Bloodlines’ Showcases Back Story of Jud Crandall

If you’re a fan of the “Pet Sematary” films then you might have always wanted to actually see how the terrifying cemetery came to be. In the upcoming Paramount+ film, you’ll get a deeper glimpse.

“Pet Sematary: Bloodlines” takes place in 1969 where “a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind, but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding, and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.”

Fred Gwynee played Jud Crandall in the 1989 “Pet Sematary” film while John Lithgow played the character in the 2019 remake. This time around Jackson White (Tell Me Lies) will take on the role of Jud with Samantha Mathis, David Duchovny, Henry Thomas, Pam Grier, Natalie Alyn Lind, Jack Mulhern, Forrest Goodluck, Vincent Leclerc, Isabella LaBlanc, and Glen Gould making up the ensemble cast.

“Pet Sematary: Bloodlines” streams exclusively on Paramount+ on Friday, October 6.
