The night shift has always been a bit creepy, but add a few killer animatronics to the mix and it becomes downright terrifying. Directed by Emma Tammi and based on the video game series by Scott Cawthon, “Five Nights at Freddy’s” screenplay was written by Tammi, Cawthon, and Seth Cuddeback.
Josh Hutcherson stars as Mike Schmidt, a troubled security guard who begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a once popular restaurant that closed down after children started going missing. The nights working at Freddy’s get more sinister when the animatronics start killing.
Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson, Elizabeth Lail, Kevin Foster, Kat Conner Sterling, Piper Rubio, Jess Weiss, and Jade Kindar-Martin make up the ensemble cast.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s” comes to theaters and streams on Peacock on October 27, 2023
