It’s A Game of Tennis and Seduction in The ‘Challengers’ Trailer Starring Zendaya

[*Editor’s Note: 8/1/23 – Due to the current SAG-AFTRA and WGA Strike, “Challengers” has been pushed from its September 15, 2023 release date to April 26,  2024]

Zendaya is her movie era and I will seated.

The latter half of the year will be a major one for the 26-year-old actress with two highly anticipated films coming to theaters. Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune 2” is expected for a November 3 release, not interested in that one, but “Challengers” coming out in September has my full attention.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Justin Kuritzkes, “Challengers” is said to show the art of seduction and other games and “follows three players who knew each other when they were teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament to be the world-famous grand slam winner, and reignite old rivalries on and off the court.”

Josh O’Connor plays Patrick, Mike Faist plays Art, and Zendaya plays Tashi. In the trailer we see the trio get involved in a love triangle with the backdrop of Tennis. This looks like it’s going to be a good one. I’m glad to see Zendaya in more adult roles and I’ve enjoyed Luca’s last few projects so you know where to catch me in mid-September.

“Challengers” comes to theaters on September 15, 2023.
