Every Moments Counts in the Upcoming Apple TV+ Series ‘Hijack’ Starring Idris Elba

One of the scariest aspects of flying is the idea that you might not get to your final destination safely. In the upcoming Apple TV+ series Hijack, Idris Elba’s character will make sure that the passengers land safely.

Hijack is a tense thriller told in real-time and spans the course of a 7-hour flight from Dubai to London that gets hijacked. Elba stars as Sam Nelson, “an accomplished negotiator in the business world who needs to step up and use all his guile to try and save the lives of the passengers — but, his high-risk strategy could be his undoing” while authorities on the ground are trying to scramble for answers.

Created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith and executive produced by Elba, Hijack also stars Mohamed Elsandel, Kate Phillips, Archie Panjabi, Ben Miles, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Holly Aird, Neil Maskell, Gretchen Egolf, Rochenda Sandall, Aimée Kelly, and Justin Salinger.

The first two episodes of Hijack stream Wednesday, June 28 on Apple TV+.
