June is going to be an exciting month for Black Mirror fans because the beloved series is returning after a four-year gap. The Charlie Brooker-created Sci-fi anthology series that explores “a twisted, high-tech multiverse where humanity’s greatest innovations and darkest instincts collide” will release 5 new episodes when season 6 drops next month.
Although an official date has not been released yet, Netflix revealed the episode titles, plots, and which actors appear in each episode. “Joan is Awful” follows an average woman who “is stunned to discover a global streaming platform has launched a prestige TV drama adaptation of her life — in which she is portrayed by Hollywood A-lister Salma Hayek Pinault.” Annie Murphy, Michael Cera, Rob Delaney, Ben Barnes, and Himesh Patel co-star.
In “Loch Henry” “a young couple travel to a sleepy Scottish town to start work on a genteel nature documentary, but find themselves drawn to a juicy local story involving shocking events of the past..” Samuel Blenkin, Myha’la Herrold, Daniel Portman, John Hannah, and Monica Dolan co-star.
“Beyond the Sea” is set in an alternative 1969 where “two men on a perilous high-tech mission wrestle with the consequences of an unimaginable tragedy.” Aaron Paul, Josh Harnett, Kate Mara, Auden Thornton, and Rory Culkin co-star.
