Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are pairing up on screen again in the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Platonic.
In Platonic, Rogen and Byrne play “a platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife who reconnect after a long rift. The duo’s friendship becomes all consuming—and destabilizes their lives in a hilarious way.” Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Carla Gallo, and Andrew Lopez make up the ensemble cast with the comedy series having 10 half-hour episodes. The first three episodes premieres on Wednesday, May 24 followed by new weekly episodes every Wednesday.
Back in 2014, Rogen and Byrne played husband and wife in “Neighbors” and once again reprising their roles as Mac and Kelly Radner in the 2016 sequel “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.” Now Rogen and Byrne are taking their relationship to a more friendly nature which will be interesting to see. The official trailer for Platonic showcases just how chaotic their friendship will be.
Platonic premieres Wednesday, May 24, 2023 on Apple TV+.
