Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are pairing up on screen again in the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Platonic.
Back in 2014, the pair played husband and wife in “Neighbors” and once again reprising their roles as Mac and Kelly Radner in the 2016 sequel “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising.” Now Rogen and Byrne are taking their relationship to a more friendly nature.
In Platonic Rogen and Byrne play “a platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife who reconnect after a long rift. The duo’s friendship becomes all consuming—and destabilizes their lives in a hilarious way.” The comedy series will have 10 half-hour episodes and will release the first three on Wednesday, May 24 followed by new weekly episodes every Wednesday.
Co-created, directed, and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen also serve as executive producers with Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Carla Gallo, and Andrew Lopez making up the ensemble cast.
Platonic premieres Wednesday, May 24, 2023 on Apple TV+.
