From the mind of notable king of horror Stephen King, comes a film adaptation of his 1973 short story “The Boogeyman” starring Chris Messina, Sophie Thatcher, and Vivien Lyra Blair.
In “The Boogeyman” a family tragedy brings a demonic presence that you shouldn’t let in. The official synopsis reads, “High school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are reeling from the recent death of their mother and aren’t getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims.”
Directed by Rob Savage with a screenplay by Scott Beck, Bryan Woods, and Mark Heyman; Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton, and David Dastmalchian all appear in “The Boogeyman” opening in theaters on June 2, 2023.
