‘Schmigadoon!’ Season 2 Shows The Sexy and Spectacular Side of Musicals

Schmigadoon! on Apple TV+ is the best show you’re not watching, and if you are watching then you’re fully aware of how spectacular season 2 is already.

Created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, Keegan-Michael Key and Cecily Strong star in Schmigadoon! as Josh and Melissa. The pair of doctors find their relationship in a rut in season one, which premiered back in 2021, and go on a couple’s retreat to regain the spark. Josh and Melissa get lost and stumble upon a magical town called Schmigadoon in which everyone acts like they’re in a classic musical.

In season 2, Josh and Melissa find themselves struggling through life once more and try to find Schmigadoon to fix their problems. Instead, they find the darker and sexier Schmicago, a world based on musicals from the 60s through the 80s. Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ariana DeBose, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski, Martin Short, and Aaron Tveit appear in the first and second seasons.

The first two episodes of the second season premiered Wednesday, April 5 and I’m absolutely obsessed with this show! The music in season 2 is phenomenal, the choreography from Christopher Gattelli is captivating, and the storyline is even funnier than season 1.
