One of the most anticipated, especially for me, limited series coming in 2023 is the Apple TV+ series The Crowded Room.
Executive produced by Tom Holland, the 26-year-old returns to Apple TV+ (he starred in the captivating 2021 biopic film “Cherry”) in the 10-episode limited series as Danny Sullivan. The Crowded Room follows “a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979.” The show is “a captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried), Danny’s life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation,” reads the official synopsis.
First-look photos from the series feature Holland and Seyfried’s characters along with Emmy Rossum who is slated to play Candy, the mother of the Danny character with Zachary Golinger playing the younger version of Danny.
Sasha Lane, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Jason Isaacs, Christopher Abbott, and Thomas Sadoski make up the ensemble cast. I’m already sold on this show with the concept and cast and I know a trailer will just solidify my excitement.
Three episodes of The Crowded Room will stream on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 9 with the rest of the season getting a weekly rollout every Friday through July 28, 2023.
