Driving can be a very complex experience. For some, the idea of getting behind the wheel of a vehicle and traveling can be therapeutic, while others can get extreme anxiety on the roads with dozens of cars going various speeds driving past them, and then there are the people who become irate by any minor inconvenience when it comes to operating a motor vehicle. I’ve been all three, but the upcoming Netflix comedy-drama explores the latter in Beef starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.
In Beef, a road rage incident between failing contractor Danny Cho (Yeun) and unfulfilled entrepreneur Amy Lau (Wong) “sparks a feud that brings out their darkest impulses” and spirals into resentment and revenge in the 10-episode series.
Maria Bello, Mia Serafino, Ashley Park, Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, Remy Holt, Patti Yasutake. Ione Skye, Andrew Santino, Justin H. Min, and Rekstizzy also appear in Beef.
Beef streams on Netflix on Thursday, April 6.
