The biggest night of the year for movies is coming this Sunday, March 12. The 95th Academy Awards, aka the Oscars, will air live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
One of the coveted honors of the night and often most controversial is Best Picture. There have been many times when movie lovers feel the wrong film won because rarely a fan favorite is awarded Best Picture. Often when a Best Picture wins the film barely got any buzz, but a few golden moments the right choice is announced. This year “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is the film many are hoping takes home the Oscar for Best Picture, but I’m partial to “Triangle of Sadness” because I loved that movie so much.
The nominees this year range in genres from fantasy, action, drama, and biopic, and Screen Junkies breaks down the 10 films nominated for Best Picture with honest trailers.
