It’s “Look Who’s Talking 3” meets “Sausage Party” in the upcoming Dan Perrault-written, Josh Greenbaum-directed adult comedy “Strays.”
Will Ferrell voices Reggie, “a naïve, relentlessly optimistic Border Terrier” who gets left behind by his good-for-nothing owner Doug (Will Forte). Reggie, believing his owner is coming back and they’re just playing a game, gets a rude awakening from the “fast-talking, foul-mouthed Boston Terrier” Bug (voiced by Jamie Foxx) who helps Reggie realize his owner was no good and he’s better off a stray, but Reggie wants revenge.
Joining forces with Bug and his pals Maggie (voice by Isla Fisher) and Hunter (voiced by Randall Park), Reggie sets off on a journey back home to make Doug pay by biting off his member. No joke. Josh Gad, Harvey Guillén, Brett Gelman, Rob Riggle, Jamie Demetriou, and Sofia Vergara also star in “Strays.”
“Strays” comes to theaters on June 9, 2023.
