M. Night Shyamalan’s “Knock at the Cabin” is one of the most anticipated horror movies of 2023. The film premiered in theaters on Friday, February 3 knocking Avatar: The Way Of Water” out of the top spot at the box office.

Based on the 2018 best-selling novel Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay, “Knock at the Cabin” follows Andrew (Jonathan Groff) and Eric (Ben Aldridge) heading to a secluded cabin for a vacation with their daughter Wen (Kristen Cui). Wen is approached by a friendly stranger named Leonard (Dave Bautista) while out catching grasshoppers when he tells her he’s there to make friends with her and her dads, but his heart is broken because of what he has to do today. Leonard is later joined by three others (Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint) as they forcefully enter the family’s cabin. The family has been chosen to make a horrible decision and if they fail to choose then the world will end.

“Knock at the Cabin” is a slow burn teasing the apocalypse, but finds a way to bring heart to the horrific situation. Check out my full “Knock at the Cabin” review via Popternative.com HERE.
