The Staff at The Black Lotus Mean Business on ‘Saturday Night Live’

HBO’s award-winning series The White Lotus has been the subject of conversation since its inaugural season in 2021. The series really made waves in pop culture with its second season last year. Created by Mike White, The White Lotus is set at a tropical resort and follows a group of guests and employees for a week’s duration.

Many have noticed that the show so far has lacked a diverse cast, so Saturday Night Live imagined what it would be like if that happened. In “The Black Lotus,” cast members Kenan Thompson, Ego Nwodim, Punkie Johnson, and show host Aubrey Plaza “deal with the antics of wealthy tourists” while working at The Black Lotus.

Other cast members played characters from season 2 of The White Lotus while Chloe Fineman did her famed Jennifer Coolidge impression.
