The horror film “M3GAN” isn’t even a month old yet and has already become a staple not only in the horror genre, but the movie has become a pop culture phenomenon. A sequel for the film is already in the works and has been slated to release in theaters in 2025, so Saturday Night Live took the opportunity to imagine what that new movie would look like in “M3GAN 2.0,” which is the working title of the sequel btw.

Directed by Gerard Johnstone and screenplay by Akela Cooper, “M3GAN” follows robotics engineer Gemma (Allison Williams) becoming the primary caregiver of her niece Cady (Violet McGraw) when her parents die in a car accident. Gemma introduces Cady to a life-like robotic doll named M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis), Model 3 Generative Android, whose goal is to protect someone from emotional and physical harm when paired to. That pairing led to deadly consequences as M3GAN sang and danced her way into horror lovers hearts, but it was one demographic in particular that really graviated towards M3GAN.

In the “M3GAN 2.0” sketch from SNL that aired over the weekend, gay men are celebrating M3GAN as the icon that she is with Chloe Fineman playing M3GAN and show host Aubrey Plaza as M3GAN 2.0. Allison Williams also makes an appearence in the skecth to warn the men about the dangers of M3GAN, but a surprise twists prevents it. I loved everything about this clip. I mean who wouldn’t want to party with M3GAN?
