Veteran Actress Joins ‘Only Murders in the Building’ For Season 3

Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building is an Emmy-winning series that progressively gets better with each episode. Moving into its third season viewers may start to think how can the John Hoffman and Steve Martin-created series get any better? You add Meryl Streep to the mix that’s how.

The veteran actress will be joining the cast of OMITB and is already hard at work in production. The surprise announcement was made via Instagram. Selena Gomez, who plays Mabel Mora on the show, shared a video from set on the social media platform captioned “I could cry 😭 season 3 is coming!” The video included her co-stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Andrea Martin, and already revealed new cast member Paul Rudd. Then Streep appeared from behind a couch all smiles offering Steve Martin a pillow and her other new co-stars her services.

Paul Rudd’s addition to the cast was revealed during the season 2 finale in August 2022. Rudd plays Broadway actor Ben Glenroy who had a role opposite Charles-Haden Savage (Martin) in Oliver’s (Short) play. It was clear Ben and Charles didn’t get along, but Charles may become a prime suspect in yet another murder because during opening night of the show, Ben stumbled on stage and died. The murders just don’t stop on this show.
