HBO Renews ‘The White Lotus’ For Season 3 – Here’s My Dream Cast For The New Season

HBO’s award-winning series The White Lotus is asking viewers to pack their bags once again as it has been renewed for a third season.

Created by Mike White, The White Lotus was initially set to be a limited series when the show debuted in July 2021, but the success led HBO to continue it as an anthology series that will feature a new cast and location each season. Season one starred Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, Fred Hechinger, Jake Lacy, Brittany O’Grady, Natasha Rothwell, Sydney Sweeney, Steve Zahn, Lukas Gage, Jolene Purdy, Kekoa Kekumano, Jennifer Coolidge, and Murray Bartlett and earned the show 10 Primetime Emmys including one of the top honors of Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

The anticipated second season premiered on Sunday, October 30th, and like the first season it is set at a tropical resort and spa called White Lotus and follows the exploits of the resort’s guests and employees over the course of a week; usually ending in a tragic death of a mystery person revealed in the final episode. Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries reprise their roles in the second season with Will Sharpe, Aubrey Plaza, Meghann Fahy, Theo James, Adam DiMarco, F. Murray Abraham, Beatrice Granno, Tom Hollander, Sabrina Impacciatore, Michael Imperioli, Haley Lu Richardson, Simona Tabasco, Leo Woodall, Federico Ferrante, Eleonara Romandini, and Federico Scribani joining The White Lotus ranks. The season two finale is Sunday, December 11.

With season three greenlit and in the works, I started thinking about where a new season could take place and who I’d like to be in it. Since the show is still fresh it could maintain the tropical setting, but I would love a different climate aspect and explore guests at a ski resort for a week. Imagine The White Lotus Aspen or The White Lotus Switzerland and having a body discovered in the snow or left behind in a ski lift. But the main thing for a great season would be the cast. Here’s who I’d like to see in season 3 of The White Lotus.

Jennifer Coolidge
Although at this time we don’t know if Tanya is one of the bodies that washed up on the shore in Sicily, I would love to see Jennifer Coolidge continue her role as Tanya in The White Lotus. She adds such chaotic energy to the show that now I can’t imagine her not in it.

Victoria Pedretti
Blowing people’s minds away in The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor, Victoria showed us she can display a vulnerable side, but her being completely unhinged as Love Quinn in You showed us she has a dark side too. I would love to see her alongside pretentious vacation goers.

Christopher Abbott
The multiverse Kit Harington has done some amazing indie projects but his performance in the second half of “Black Bear” will make him an ideal fit in the setting of The White Lotus.

Reese Witherspoon
We all know nobody does entitled White woman quite like Reese. I mean hello, Big Little Lies and Little Fires Everywhere. Do I need to say more?

Sterling K. Brown
Known for his more serious side in This Is Us, Sterling did a 180 when he played Pastor Lee-Curtis in “Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.” It was a side of him I didn’t expect, so knowing he can play serious and silly so well makes him a great candidate for me.

Regina Hall
It’s such a shame Regina Hall doesn’t get nearly enough praise as a comedy actress. Like her “Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.” co-star Sterling K. Brown, she did a flip of what she’s known for showing off her serious side. Also evident in her role in Nine Perfect Strangers, from this show she’ll blend right in with elite folks.

Nicholas Hoult
In his most recent work, Nicholas has perfectly played an arrogant simpleton in “The Menu” and The Great, so I want to keep that same energy going in The White Lotus.

Lucy Liu
Watching Lucy in Why Women Kill season one is reason enough for me to want her in another dark dramedy role. I was so blown away by her performance in that role and she’d be a great guest at The White Lotus.

Tom Holland
If we need some young talent I’d throw Tom into the mix. Yes, he’s made his name playing Spider-Man, but if you watch any of his other films or any interview you know he has the ability and charm to take on anybody at The White Lotus.

William Jackson Harper
William recently starred in The Resort TV series where he played a husband trying to reconnect with his wife while unwillingly solving the mysterious disappearance of two previous guests and he was a delight to watch. It was like Chidi constantly being stressed on an island and who wouldn’t want to see that for several episodes.
