If you’ve been on social media even a little bit I’m sure you’ve seen the chatter about how emotional viewers were watching the Netflix series From Scratch. The series is based on actress and writer Tembi Locke’s New York Times best-selling book From Scratch: A Memoir of Love, Sicily, and Finding Home.

The series stars Zoe Saldana as Amy, an American woman who travels to Italy to study abroad and falls in love with a Sicilian chef name Lino, played by Eugenio Mastrandrea. It’s a gut-wrenching series showcasing the power of love, family, and starting over from scratch.
