Purchasing your dream home can be stressful, but when it becomes an absolute horror show then you know it might be time to look for another place to live. The Netflix series The Watcher is based on the shocking true story of Derek and Maria Broaddus who moved into their dream home with their three children in Westfield, New Jersey. Upon moving into 657 Boulevard, the family began receiving ominous letters addressed to them from an unknown person who called themselves “The Watcher.” The letters once perceived as welcoming turned sinister as the Broaddus family was terrorized during the duration of their brief time in the residence.

In The Watcher series, Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale play Nora and Dean Brannock, the couple who moves into 657 Boulevard with their children (Isabel Gravitt and Luke David Blumm) and start to experience the mayhem of The Watcher. The show chronicles the experience the Brannock family had living in the house, the interactions with their wacky neighbors, and had viewers questioning the identity of The Watcher throughout the 7-episode horror/drama.

Mia Farrow, Jennifer Coolidge, Terry Kinney, Margo Martindale, Richard Kind, Noma Dumezweni, Seth Gabel, Joe Mantello, Christopher McDonald, and Henry Hunter Hall also star in The Watcher, now streaming on Netflix.
