On All Hallow’s Eve if a virgin lights the Black Flame candle the Sanderson Sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy) will come back from the dead and that’s exactly what happens in the 1993 Spooky Season classic “Hocus Pocus.” The latest Honest Trailers from Screen Junkies breaks down what made the film so magical and why we have to watch it every year.

The beginning of this Honest Trailer for “Hocus Pocus” had me scratching my head for a minute. If you frequently watch these, like I do, then you know that voice that narrates it. When an unrecognizable woman started speaking I couldn’t help but wonder who this new voice actor was until I realized a Sex and the City reference was happening. Classic. The trailer continued to dissect the film on how a virgin, his little sister, his crush, and a cursed talking cat stopped three 17th-century witches from sucking the lives out of all the children in Salem.
