You had me at first knock!

For three decades M. Night Shyamalan has shaped a career creating compelling stories that have landed him a slot as one of the most visionary filmmakers in Hollywood. His projects in recent years have solidified audiences in expecting a huge plot twist that will leave you in disbelief by the time the credits roll. Shyamalan’s forthcoming film “Knock at the Cabin,” based on the 2018 best-selling novel Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay, should be no different.

In the “Knock at the Cabin” trailer, we find Andrew (Jonathan Groff) and Eric (Ben Aldridge) heading to a secluded cabin for a vacation with their daughter Wen (newcomer Kristen Cui). Wen is approached by a friendly stranger named Leonard (Dave Bautista) while out playing when he tells her he’s there to make friends with her and her dads, but his heart is broken because of what he has to do today. Leonard is later joined by three others (Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint) as they forcefully enter the family’s cabin. The family has been chosen to make a horrible decision and if they fail to choose then the world will end. “Save your family or save humanity? Make the choice.”

Steve Desmond, Michael Sherman, and Shyamalan wrote the screenplay and Shyamalan directed “Knock at the Cabin” coming only to theaters on February 3, 2023.
