The best names in horror have come together for a Netflix project perfectly suited for Spooky Season. From Ryan Murphy, Blumhouse, and Stephen King comes a supernatural treat in “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” starring Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell.
Written and directed by John Lee Hancock, Jaeden Martell stars as Craig, a loner teen who befriends and does odd jobs for Mr. Harrigan (Donald Sutherland) and introduces him to the modern age of technology. When Mr. Harrigan dies, Craig puts his smartphone in his pocket before burial and in his grievance state leaves messages for his deceased friend, but when he starts to get return messages Craig learns “some connections never die.”
Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Joe Tippett, Alex Bartner, and Thomas Francis Murphy also appear in “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone” streaming on Netflix on October 5, 20222.
